Jul 292020

With the Coronavirus messing everything up across the world, it’s easy to get confused about what day it is, what events we used to look forward to on any given weekend.

For example, this weekend we would have been flocking to the Orange Fairgrounds for the Orange Volunteer Firemen’s Carnival, playing games, spinning on rides and enjoying carnival food, and cooling down with the World’s Best Ice Cream Sundae.

Without the actual event, you may have forgotten to buy your raffle tickets this year. Thankfully, there’s still time! Dig into your pocket and grab a $5 or $20 or more and take a chance on winning up to $10,000. Seriously, how can you pass that up?

Tickets are available at several convenient locations around town, go out and get yours today before you forget. The drawing is on Sunday! All proceeds will help the OVFD help YOU in the event of an emergency!

Aug 022017

The Orange Volunteer Firemen’s Carnival will be held this weekend beginning on Thursday, August 3 through Sunday, August 6.

Help is again gratefully accepted and very much needed in the main food tent.

High school students looking for community service hours are also invited.

If you are interested in giving of your time for a few hours, especially on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. for the day shift, or the evening time, beginning at 4 p.m.

Help is also needed on Sunday, beginning at noontime. The carnival does not go into the evening on Sunday.

We will also need some assistance on Thursday and on Friday beginning at 4:30 p.m.

If your company would like to volunteer together, as a group that would be great and very much appreciated.

Coldwell Banker-Orange volunteers on Thursday night. Real Living-Wareck D’Ostilio is putting together volunteers for Friday evening

Please remember that aside from having a good time pitching in with your neighbors and friends to help, the volunteer fire department also helps keep our town taxes lower.

The carnival is held rain or shine unless it’s called off due to dangerous weather.

If you are willing to help the OVFD, which is on call 24/7/365,  just show up and offer your assistance.
