Community Services is looking for local businesses and service providers for the 18th Annual Orange Senior Health and Safety Fair on Friday, September 27, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the High Plains Community Center Gym, 525 Orange Center Road, Orange.

Early bird registration by August 5, 2019, is $85, after that, the fee is $90 a table for businesses and free to nonprofit providers with a 501(c)3 designation.  Final registration is due by September 13.  The event is free to the public. 

All proceeds from this event will go to the Community Assistance Fund.  All of our programs, activities, events, and offerings are self-generated solely from fees and donations.

Orange Firemen’s Carnival

The Orange Volunteer Firemen’s Carnival opens tonight at 5 p.m.

This is the Department’s biggest fundraiser of the year, so while you’re there take advantage of all the things the OVFD has to offer, including fantastic food at the pavilion and the satellite food tent near the fence. Take a chance on the fire department sponsored games and don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets for 11 great prizes!

The 50/50 raffle offers you an opportunity to win half of the accumulated pot (and the fire department will receive the other half) each night – that’s at the raffle tent, too.

Come on out and support your all volunteer Orange fire department this weekend. Have fun, and enjoy some great food.

The Hours are:

Thursday – 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Friday – 5:00 PM to 12 midnight

Saturday – 12 Noon to 12 midnight

Sunday – 12 Noon to 5:00 PM

Car-Show-1The Bethany Volunteer Fire Department (which often trains with and assists our own Orange Volunteer Fire Department) and Auxiliary will host its 9th Annual Car, Truck, Bike Show & Garden Tractor Pulls at the Bethany Airport Field, adjacent to fire headquarters-765 Amity Road Bethany(Route 63) on Saturday June 25, 2016 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
All antique cars, trucks, muscle cars, motorcycles and big trucks are welcome.  The event features people’s choice judging.  Rain date will be Sunday June 26.  Show vehicles should arrive at 10 a.m. with raffle and trophies being distributed at 3:00 p.m.  Registration for the garden tractor pull event will begin at 10 a.m. and pulling will begin at 11 a.m. The cost for the event is $10 for parking per carload/show vehicle and $5 entry fee for the garden tractor pulls.
The event offers fun for the entire family with a 50/50 raffle, face painting and DJ.  This year will again feature their famous food tent with fire fighters and auxiliary members hard at work cooking delicious pulled pork sandwiches, sausage & peppers, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and ice cream.

IMG_0443The Orange Volunteer Firemen’s Carnival at the Orange Fairgrounds, 525 Orange Center Road, ends today, Aug. 4 at 5 p.m. Parking and admission are free.

The carnival is one of the most popular traditional events in town and the proceeds from ride tickets, fire department sponsored games and food from the Pavilion and satellite tent near the fence go to the Orange Volunteer Fire Department to pay for training and equipment.

Not only do they have your favorite carnival treats, but also lobster rolls, roast beef sandwiches, corn and much, much more!

If you took advantage of this option, you may pick up your ride bracelets in the rear of the Main Raffle Booth across from the Pavilion. A photo ID and signature are required at pickup.

The ride bracelets may be used Sunday, 12-5 p.m.

If you did not purchase advance tickets, the firefighters offer an at carnival ride special of $22 for the Sunday Family Fun Day from 12-5 p.m.

Individual ride tickets are available at the ticket booth (not to be confused with the raffle booth).

The big Raffle drawing is at 4:30 p.m. (you do not have to be present to win). Tickets are $5 each and will be sold until moments before the drawing.

The Boys & Girls Club of Milford is selling Super Bowl Raffle tickets for you and a friend to attend the big game on Feb. 3.

Lynn and John Knight sweat it out under the food tent.

Come on down to the Orange fairgrounds and have some fun and support the Orange Volunteer Fire Department.

It doesn’t matter how hot it is, the volunteer firefighters and dedicated civilian volunteers will be there ready to serve you with a smile.

Lots of food vendors 20 rides and 29 games.

The Main Food Tent under the pavilion and the Satellite food tent near the fence at Orange Center Road are both run by the Orange Firefighters and all proceeds go to the fire department for their trucks, rescue equipment and other needs.

Under the main food tent, the Auxiliary has a huge helping of homemade pie for just $2. You haven’t pie until you’ve tried the Auxiliary’s baked goods!

Five of the games are run by the firefighters and all money they take in goes directly to the department: the High Striker, Frog Bog, Blower Ball, Dunk Tank and Speedball.

There will be a FREE children’s raffle for fun prizes for boys and girls today, listen for the announcements.

Come back at 4:30 p.m. for all the excitement during the LIVE drawing of the winner of our Main Raffle. During the day pick up a ticket for $5 and boost your chance of winning. You must be in it to win it!
