The Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road, offers the following upcoming events. (At this point, limited space is available for the children’s activities)

Chess Club
Saturday, February 29, 11 a.m.
For children and tweens in grades 1-6.  Learn about this strategic board game and play against other club members. This club is open to beginners and experienced players. Feel free to bring your own chess board as the library has a small supply. 2 spaces available. Registration is required.

For children in grades 1-3.  Create spreadable butter slime!  This activity requires use of the following: glue, baking soda, water, food coloring, baby oil, baby lotion, contact lens solution, and cornstarch.  Registration is required. (4 spaces remain) Call the Library, visit our website, or stop by the Children’s Room to reserve your spot.

The Orange Economic Development Corporation will be hosting its 11th Annual Golf Tournament at Orange Hills Country Club, 389 Racebrook Road, on Friday, Sept 8.
This year the OEDC will partner with Rotary and donate a portion of proceeds to the Rotary Club of Orange Youth Services Program. Also new this year, dinner will take place at the Orange Ale House immediately following the tournament. Awards and raffle prize winners will be announced during dinner.
Executive Director Annemarie Sliby said, “The tournament is a great way to have some fun while networking with peers and coworkers.”
Check-in begins at 11 a.m. at the clubhouse, where players will receive tournament gifts, can purchase raffle tickets, and have lunch while waiting for the shotgun start at noon “sharp.”
Massage Green also will provide chair massages during this time.
Tournament price is $175 per golfer and includes the following:
18 Holes of golf with cart
Tournament gift
Lunch at Check-in
Snacks and drinks on the course
Contests – Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive (Men & Women) and Hole-in-One
Dinner at Orange Ale House
Massages (provided by Massage Green)
Cold drinks at the Beer Tent provided by (Orange Ale House & Grill)
Cigars (provided by Orange Cigar & More)

The Expo is free to visit and Open to the Public.
