On August 30 at 9:04 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Kohl’s store regarding a shoplifter.
During the investigation police learned that William Warren, 54, of 311 Cleveland Ave., Long Branch, NJ, had taken $275 worth of shoes from the shelves and left the store without attempting to pay.
Store security agents stopped him and held him for police. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and held on $1,000 bond.
Officers later learned that Warren was wanted on two arrest warrants from the New Haven Police Department, both of which were served.
