Tuesday, July 19 at 10 AM
Join Books & Breakfast leader Carol Davidson for a discussion of Dead Wake by Erik Larson. Check the Circulation Desk for copies.


Teen Action Painting Workshop
Tuesday, July 19, 2-3:30 PM
Join us on the back lawn for an interactive Jackson Pollock-style painting workshop using splatter and drip paint techniques, then make a frozen banana parfait while your painting dries. Wear old clothes; this might get messy! All supplies will be provided.


Teddy Bear Picnic Storytime
Thursday, July 21 at 4 PM
Join Ms. Michelle by the sitting wall outside for an extra special story time! Bring your favorite bear and a snack. We’ll provide juice and tons of fun! Space is limited to 25 children.

Gently used books, records, CDs, sheet music, cassettes, bargain books, children’s, science fiction and more!


“The Tortoise and the Hare” Drama Workshop with Ingrid Schaeffer
Saturday, July 16 at 1:30 PM
Children ages 5-10 will be provided with a costume piece and props to act out this classic Aesop fable with a twist. The workshop will conclude with a craft that corresponds to the theme of the story. Space is limited to 22 children.


Square One Theatre Reader’s Theatre Showcase
Monday, July 18 at 7 PM
The Square One Theatre Company will present a staged reading of Scott and Hem, a drama about F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, the cost of love and friendship, and the price of being a writer. Sponsored by the Shirley Martin Prown Fund.

Teddy Bear Picnic Storytime

For ages 2-5. This delightful event takes place outside at the siting wall. You bring a snack, the children’s library staff provides juice.

Bring your favorite stuffed bear or other animal to join you, hear stories and play.

Square One Theatre Company Reader’s Theatre Showcase: The Outgoing Tide

Monday, July 22 at 7:00 PM

Like a mordantly funny variation on On Golden Pond, Bruce Graham’s new play The Outgoing Tide wrests a surprising amount of humor from its dark tale of a family patriarch with dementia. Featuring Al Kulcsar and Peggy Nelson; directed by Tom Holehan.
