EARS, the Emergency Animal Response Service released this announcement today:
Strong storms, tornadoes, heat waves, and let’s not forget we are in the midst of hurricane season… no one likes to think of these things when enjoying the summer, but being aware and being prepared is key to being safe when they happen. So we invite you to join us TONIGHT AT 8 p.m. on the EARS website as we host our second “virtual meeting” with this chat’s topic set to discuss and answer your questions about severe weather.
It’s easy to participate
The chat on our website is easy to access and use and doesn’t require any special programs or downloads. If you can use Facebook, or even write an email, than you’ll have no trouble jumping in on our chat! Here’s the quick steps for anyone who’s new:
· Visit our website, click the “Events” tab and then click “Online Chat”
Or just go directly to https://www.earsct.org/online-chat.html
· Enter your name in the box that says “Enter a User Name”
· Then just click the “Connect” button underneath
TA DA! You’ve successfully entered the chat!
Now you can join in the discussion the same way you would write an email or send an Instant Message. At the bottom of the chat screen you’ll see a box that says “Start typing here.” Put your message in there, click “Send” or press “Enter” and you’ll be discussing right along with us! Our last “virtual meeting” was very successful and we look forward to welcoming people again!
