Nick Fusco threw a no-hitter against Hamden on June 25.

Tuesday was a day Nick Fusco will set aside for the scrapbook as he threw a no-hitter in Orange Post 127’s 16-0 victory over Hamden.

No Hamden batter was able to locate Fusco’s pitches during the game. Fusco threw a no-hitter, striking out five batters and walking two while recording his momentous feat. He got Cyril for the final out of the game.

The biggest inning for Orange was the first. Hamden had no answer as Orange scored 9 runs.

Orange hammered Hamden pitching as 6 hitters had a field day, combining for 8 hits, 10 RBIs and 13 runs scored.

Orange piled on 4 more runs in the top of the second. A ground out scored Justin Ashworth to get Orange on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Jake Russo’s double, scoring Gerald Farace, R.J. Moquet and Keith Klebart.

Orange built upon its lead with 3 runs in the fifth. R.J. singled, scoring Matt Ronai to start the inning.

Orange Plays Hamden again tonight at Brinley Field in Orange at 7 p.m.
