Police Blotter Logo thx DaveA West Haven woman surrendered herself at police headquarters after learning she was wanted on an arrest warrant, March 11 at 9:54 a.m.

According to the report, the warrant for Christina Lopez, 29, of 448 Meloy Road Apt A-3, stemmed from a traffic accident on Dec. 30, 2014 that she caused, but she fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

Lopez was charged with evading responsibility at the scene of an accident.

She was released after posting $500 bond for court March 25.

Orange Police officers served a warrant on Shaun Williams, 31, of 277 Howard Ave., New Haven on Feb. 6 at 12:40 p.m.

The warrant stemmed from an incident at the Target store, 25 Boston Post Road, on Jan. 22, 2015.

According to the report, Williams was observed striking a three-year-old child multiple times in the store parking lot, and when witnesses attempted to intervene, he argued with them.

One of the witnesses obtained Williams’ vehicle information and reported the incident to police.

Investigation led to the issuance of the warrant, charging third-degree assault, second degree breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor.

Williams was released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 9.

Police: Check Forgery A 28-year-old Orange resident was arrested on a warrant Feb. 2 at 3:45 p.m.

Police said the warrant stemmed from an investigation that began in November of 2014 when relatives of Danielle Dalling, 28, of 107 Indian River Road, Orange, discovered that she had stolen and forged 33 checks from an account belonging to them.

According to the report, Dalling forged $18,645 in stolen checks.

She was charged with second-degree larceny and 33 counts of second-degree forgery.

Dalling was released after posting $25,000 bond for court Feb. 16.

BEST-POLICE-Patch-EVER-275x300Orange Police went to Derby Superior Court to serve a warrant on a West Haven man who was appearing on an unrelated matter on Sept. 17 at 10 a.m.

According to the report, Eric Dingus, 36, of 133 Forest Rd, West Haven, was wanted on a warrant stemming from a burglary at the Grid Construction Company, 156 Boston Post Road, in June, where tools valued at a total of $6,530 were taken from the business.

Dingus was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.

The warrant was served at court and arraignment was immediate.

Warrant Arrest

On Jan. 2, Alicia Barry, 29, of 1 Birch Lane, East Haven, surrendered herself at police headquarters after learning of a warrant for her arrest.

The warrant stemmed from an incident in December when he repeatedly contacted a former boyfriend, directly against the provisions of a protective order he had obtained against her.

Barry was taken into custody and charged with criminal violation of a protective order.

She was released after posting $5,000 bond.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveA Milford woman turned herself in at police headquarters on Sept. 5 at 1:26 p.m after learning of a warrant for her arrest.

According to police, the warrant against Cathy Rainey, 55, of 22 Merwin Ave., 2nd floor, Milford, stemmed from an incident at an Orange restaurant in which she allegedly got into an argument with another patron ad struck that person before being separated by others.

Investigation led to the issuance of the warrant charging third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Rainey was released on a promise to appear in court (PTA) on Sept. 19.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveA West Haven man was arrested on a warrant Aug. 16 at 4:57 p.m.

According to the report, Chen Zhang, 26, of 105 Knox St. #A-9, was detained by New Haven Police on an unrelated matter, then turned over to Orange Police Department where he was wanted on a warrant stemming from an Aug. 10 incident during which he reportedly got into an argument with a family member at a restaurant on the Boston Post Road.

During this argument, Zhang allegedly bit the victim on the arm, temporarily blocked her from leaving, and threatened further harm.

A passerby observed the altercation and called police, but Zhang ran away before police arrived.

Officers obtained the warrant charging third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace and first-degree unlawful restraint.

Zhang was held on $25,000 bond for court Aug. 17.

BEST POLICE Patch EVERAn Orange woman surrendered herself at police headquarters, 314 Lambert Road, Aug. 2 at 3:12 p.m. after learning of a warrant for her arrest.

According to the report, the warrant stemmed from an incident at a local restaurant on April 25, where Catherine Coscia, 48, of 634 Aspen Lane and another business patron got into an argument which turned physical.

Investigation led to the issuance of the arrest warrant.

Coscia was charged with second-degree breach of peace and released on a promise to appear in court Aug. 16.
