The Orange Lions Club will host “Get Uncorked,” a wine tasting fundraiser on Friday, June 18, 2021, at St. Barbara’s Church Hall in Orange.

Ye Olde Liquor Shoppe of West Haven is the facilitator of the tasting. Samplings of different wines, beers, and spirits will be available for tasting throughout the evening, along with light hors d’oeuvres, raffle prizes, and a silent auction.

One silent auction item is very exciting for fans of the TV  show  “NCIS”.   Star Mark  Harmon’s personal script signed by the cast, along with other NCIS memorabilia will be a real treat for the high bidder to take home.

During this past year, the Orange Lions Club was unable to raise funds for the programs they support. This fundraiser is an opportunity to help the Lions with blindness aid and prevention and eye disease research, along with many community endeavors.

We are accepting business sponsorships at $100, individual sponsors at  $50, and friends at $25 per sponsor. To be a sponsor send your check payable to Orange Lions Charities to  P.O. Box 1162, Orange, CT  06477.

Tickets are $35 each available from any Orange Lions Club member, at the Ye Olde Liquor Shoppe, 174 Main St., West Haven, or by calling Marianne Miller at  203-795-3906 or Betty Hadlock at 203-645-8209.

The Orange Lions Club will host its biggest and most popular fundraiser “Get Uncorked!” A Wine Tasting Event on Friday, June 18, 2021.

The Wine Tasting will be facilitated by Ye Old Liquor Shoppe, 174 Main Street, West Haven. You will be able to sample fine wines, beers, and spirits.

Once again, the event will take place at St. Barbara’s Greek Church Hall, 480 Racebrook Road, Orange from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

IMG_0024On Friday evening the Orange Lions Club hosted its Spring Wine Tasting fundraiser at the St. Barbara’s Church Hall.

Lion President Maria Sandillo was delighted with the large turnout.

Bob Mel provided entertainment. Eli’s restaurant had a carving and pasta bar and Trader Joe’s treated everyone to a table with cheese, crackers and fruits.

Wine and Liquor Outlet brought along 16 vendors, all of whom provided a wide variety of wine, beer and bourbon.

The biggest attraction of the evening was the raffle table with about a dozen or more beautiful baskets and gifts, including Yankees Tickets and a Lottery Ticket “garden.”

Everyone had a lovely time and to say the event was a success is an understatement.

Proceeds go to the Lions charitable giving programs.
