The Orange Arts and Culture Council (OACC), with the generous support of the Milford Bank, is sponsoring a FREE bus ride to the  New Haven Symphony  at Woolsey Hall in New Haven on Nov. 7.

The option of free transportation allows Orange residents to forget the worries of finding convenient parking in New Haven.

The bus will leave High Plains Community Center at 6:45 p.m. and will return there after the concert, around 10:30 p.m.

The concert program will include works by Samuel Barber, Charles Ives, William Walton, and Ralph Vaughn Williams.

Featured artists are Ani Kavafian, violinist and the Yale Glee Club. The emotional heights and depths of Concertmaster Ani Kevafian’s soaring Lark Ascending promise to be thrilling, the haunting melodies of Lady in the Dark memorable, and Barber’s poignant Adagio moving.

To reserve a seat on the bus, call Pat Miller at (203) 397-8915). For concert tickets, contact the New Haven Symphony Office at (203) 865-0831.

The Orange Arts and Culture Council is pleased to be able to offer the community this service as part of its stated mission to support the arts in our area.
