FREE COVID Vaccine Clinic March 20 AT High Plains

Vaccination is the best protection against the COVID-19 virus, and that is why everyone 6 months to adults, including seniors are strongly encouraged to receive this truly lifesaving vaccine. This clinic is open to all staff, families, and students in Orange and surrounding towns.

The Orange Health Department in partnership with Griffin Hospital and the DPH mobile van has scheduled a covid vaccine clinic for children 6 months to seniors who are interested in getting vaccinated against Covid-19, on Saturday, March 20, at the High Plains Community Center from 2-6 p.m.

This is a new bivalent vaccine that will include the Omicron BA.4/5 component to the current vaccine composition to create a new bivalent vaccine.

The bivalent Covid-19 vaccine will be administered as a single booster dose to those who previously completed a primary series of Covid-19 vaccines. Both Pfizer and Moderna primary series will be available for those who have not finished their initial series.

Boosters are now available for children.

Many local pharmacies are not offering the vaccines to younger children, so, if you are open to it, given the uptick in Covid cases in this region of the state, this is your opportunity.

Please bring a lath insurance card and photo ID if you have them, but it is NOT necessary to have health insurance or ID to receive the vaccine. No one will be turned away for lack of insurance or ID.

The DPH is working throughout the state to make sure residents of each city and town has easy access to life-saving vaccines.
