The staff at the Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road, have come up with some interesting activities for all ages this month.

Read through the listings and when you find something that intrigues you, register for it right away. Take my word for it, they often fill up very quickly.

Connected Cooking: Pride Month Gumdrops

June 5-10

Celebrate Pride Month with this tasty take-home food kit! Make your own flavored rainbow gumdrops at home! This kit includes most ingredients needed to make rainbow gumdrops as well as information on Pride Month, Pride flags, and a list of books for all ages curated by our librarians featuring characters and authors who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. This kit is generously funded by the Friends of the Library. Connected Cooking is a series created by the Case Memorial Library to foster community connection and share diverse cultures through food.

Preschool Playtime

Saturday, June 10, 10:30 a.m.

Come play at our homemade obstacle course designed just for preschoolers! We’ll build with blocks, go through tunnels, and jump in and out of hula hoops while going around and around. This event will be held on the back lawn if weather permits; otherwise, it will be in the Meeting Room.

Summer Reading Kickoff: The Power of a Story

The stories come to life on the faces of the audience in this innovative performance, an inspiring fusion of theatre and visual arts. StoryFaces is an exciting and unusual storytelling show in which volunteers are brought on stage and face painted to illustrate stories as Christopher tells them, captivating the audience with folktales and his uniquely animated original stories. Take and Make: Juneteenth Flag

Create a flag in honor of our new state holiday and learn more about this long-standing celebration! Summer take and makes are available in the children’s room on a first-come, first-serve basis. No registration is required. This craft will become available on June 19th and can be picked up at the desk in the children’s room.
