June is Dog License Month in CT.
Pursuant to CGS Sec. 22-337 through 22-359c dogs 6 months or older must be licensed.
The Town Clerk’s Office handles the licensing process during the month of June. Be aware that original rabies certificate must be shown in order to prove your dog’s rabies vaccination is current. Spaying and neutering certificate also must be shown.
You may mail for license. Enclose rabies certificate, neutering/spaying certificate and payment in SASE.
The fees are as follows:
- Un-neutered / Un-spayed dog: $19
- Neutered / Spayed dog: $8
- After June 30th, a penalty charge of $1.00 per month will be added.
