More Innocent Lives Lost, School Shooting In Texas A Sandy Hook Reminder

It’s 1:28 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25. Nearly 14 hours ago a cowardly bully entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde Texas and started shooting.

The death toll continued to rise after most of you went to bed and at this point, is now 21 — 19 of them children ranging in age from 7-10.

The thought of an armed individual preying on defenseless children tears my heart out, and brings me right back to a decade ago on that awful morning back in December of 2012, when I first caught wind of the horrific massacre at Sandy Hook.

That coward, whose name I always refused to mention – because he doesn’t deserve to be remembered – murdered his mother before he set out to kill those 20 precious children all only 6 or 7 years of age, also taking the lives of 6 adults.

The children at Sandy Hook were looking forward to Christmas and Hanukkah, in less than 2 weeks.

Yesterday’s shooter shot his grandmother before he made his way to the elementary school. Investigators are using DNA to identify some of the victims, and classmates are revealing horrific details of what they saw. Visions that will give them nightmares for years to come.

These little kids were looking forward to summer vacation in just a couple of weeks. Perhaps a summer camp experience or long carefree days playing with their friends or teaching their dog new tricks. But they will never get to do anything because of the selfish and senseless actions of one individual with a loaded gun – or two – or three.

Parents, grandparents and siblings are sleepless tonight in Texas wrapped up in the memories of the loved ones they dropped off at school or waved goodbye to at the bus stop on Tuesday morning. “I Love You. Have a good day. See you later!” For them, later never came, and the pain will never go away. Ask any of the family members of the Sandy Hook victims.

Violence in America is out of control. When will it end?
