Open Farms Day, Meet The Owners, Learn About Farm Life

As part of the Orange Bicentennial Summer of Celebration, Orange CT Farms will host an Open Farms Day on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 1-4 p.m.

Visit the participating locations to support your local farmers, see how your food is grown locally and enjoy the activities available at these wonderful Orange farms!

Buttermilk Lane, 870 Garden Road

Come and visit the farmyard and meet some of the goats, cows, chickens and pigs that call Buttermilk Lane home.

There also are other fun activities for kids to do in the farmyard

Cedar Hill Farm, 831 Derby Milford Road

Stop by to see some of the animals, hayfields and pastures.

Ask questions and learn about how they product their own beef, pork, chicken and eggs which are available for sale year round.

Maple View Farm, 603 Orange Center Road

Come and see what Maple View Farm has to offer! Antique farm equipment will be on display along with the animals and playground.

Handmade items will be available for sale at the farm shop.

Treat Farm, 361 Old Tavern Road

Visit Treat Farm to see the antique truck and tractor displays and take a hayride around the property.

The vegetable stand will be open with delicious farm grown produce during its usual hours.
