On Tuesday, March 19 at 10:12 p.m., Orange police responded to Derby Milford Road for a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of a closed farm stand.
During the investigation, officers came into contact with the driver, Salomon Hernandez, 49, of Waterbury, who was sleeping in the vehicle while the car was still in drive.
Hernandez was asked to perform Standardized Sobriety Field Tests. Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and illegally driving a motor vehicle without an ID.
Hernandez posted a $3,000 bond and received a court date of April 2.
