Do you love beautiful plants? The Garden Club of Orange will host its Annual Plant Sale at High Plains, tomorrow, Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Club members offer beautiful plants grown lovingly and sold at incredible prices.
I can vouch for the quality and vast variety that you will find. Last year, I bought some potted Iris plants that I planted in my garden and this year, they are strong, beautiful and ready to open.
My pride and joy may be a lovely fuchsia hanging plant that flowered all spring and summer and continued to thrive under grow lights in my basement makeshift greenhouse last winter. The flowers are bursting again and a big plus is that I was able to take cuttings, root them and plant the stems together in a hanging pot. This “new” plant also is flowering now.
Another gem was a 5″ pot with a small spider plant. A year later, the mother plant is doing incredibly well, with dozens of offshoots that I am able to root and re-pot.
There also are spring flowers, such as pansies, celosia, marigolds, salvia, and other favorites that you can buy. Also available are hosta, orange lilies, Christmas and Easter Cactus plants, and so much more. The key is to get there early for the best selection.
The Garden Club Plant Sale never disappoints! See you there.
