The Satellite food tent on the lower fairgrounds at the Orange Country Fair may be tucked away if you don’t venture from the main fairgounds, but those in the know often make it their first stop.
In addition to the pulled pork, burgers, hot dogs, this year, they offered two new special treats.

Loaded Totchos
Go to the satellite food tent for the Loaded Totchos, a blend of tater tots, BBQ pulled pork, melted cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes with a sour cream drizzle and optional fresh sliced jalapenos.

Thanksgiving Sundae
Or if a family meal is more your style, head to the satellite tent for a Thanksgiving Sundae in a cone. Are you ready for this? You get a waffle cone filled with shreds of turkey breast, gravy, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, topped with a cranberry and gravy drizzle.
Where did these ideas come from? Each year, Laurie Rutolo dreams up a new specialty for the satellite tent to keep fairgoers interested. These two treats were a huge hit, second (and third) only to burgers in sales.
Rutolo has no idea what next year’s new menu item will be, but she urges everyone to visit the satellite twnt to find out.
