The Satellite food tent on the lower fairgrounds at the Orange Country Fair may be tucked away if you don’t venture from the main fairgounds, but those in the know often make it their first stop.
In addition to the pulled pork, burgers, hot dogs, each year, they offer interesting new special treats.
Back in 2023 Laurie Rutolo introduced two specialties for the satellite tent to keep fairgoers interested.
They were:
1. Loaded Totchos, a blend of tater tots, BBQ pulled pork, melted cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes with a sour cream drizzle and optional fresh sliced jalapenos.2. Thanksgiving Sundae, a waffle cone filled with shreds of turkey breast, gravy, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, topped with a cranberry and gravy drizzle.

Where did these ideas come from? Each year, These two treats were a huge hit, second (and third) only to burgers in sales.
