The Orange Chamber of Commerce has released the following calendar events for the remainder of this month.

 

 

On Tuesday Sept. 24, the Chamber welcomes members to its monthly Morning Jolt! Coffee and Converstation at Eli’s Restaurant, 285 Boston Post Road, from 8 – 9 a.m.

Bring your business cards, get leads and meet other chamber members.

This event is free and open to local businesses, and a lot of fun.

On Thursday, Sept. 27, Chamber members are invited to the Grand Opening of Traveland, 564 Racebrook Road (The former Coldwell Banker building) at 11:00 a.m.

 

And later that evening (Thursday, Sept. 27) it’s Chamber Night at the Farmer’s Market, Orange Fairgrounds Pavilion from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $5 per person. Wine and cheese, discounts from some of the vendors and raffle prizes.

The Orange Chamber of Commerce announced the following events planned for the month of September.

Thursday, Sept. 6 — WOW Women in Business Night Out at Consignment Originals, 320 Boston Post Road from 5-8 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 7 — OEDC Golf Tournament at Orange Hills Country Club. 11 a.m. registration with a Shot Gun Start at noon. Call 203-891-1045 for information.

Tuesday, Sept. 25 — Morning Jolt! Coffee and Conversation. at Eli’s Restaurant in Orange from 8-9 a.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 25 — WOW Women in Business Lunch at Her Soul, 93 Campbell Avel at 11:45 a.m. Cost is $12 per person.

Thursday, Sept. 27, Chamber Night at the Farmer’s Market, Orange Fairgrounds Pavilion from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $5 per person. Wine and cheese, discounts from some of the vendors and raffle prizes.

Orange Community Services, The Orange Economic Development Corporation and Orange Park and Recreation will sponsor the annual Orange Trunk or Treat event [for Orange Residents Only] at the Orange Fairgrounds on Orange Center Road, Saturday, Oct. 28 (Rain Date Sunday, Oct. 29) from 1-4 p.m.

Join in on the fun by decorating your trunk and giving out goodies to costumed Orange children.

To reserve a car space, call 203-891-4790.

Car trunk set up runs from 12-1 p.m. (remember, for everyone’s safety NO VEHICLE Shall leave the fairgrounds until the very end of the event is announced.

Liverpool Production Entertainment will provide the music.

Added features include Halloween Story Reading, Costume Parade, Take a picture with a monster, Best decorated pumpkin contest (bring your pre-carved or decorated pumpkin to be judged), Best car and best costume prizes will be awarded.

Also, Food Trucks with pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs and so much more.

You will find a Farmers’ Market and Hot beverages and baked goods for sale.

unnamed-9The Town of Orange will be hosting the Annual Orange Community Farmers’ Market at the High Plains Community Center Pavilion, 525 Orange Center Road, every Thursday until October 29, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Market is open to the public.

Visit the many stands displaying certified Connecticut grown products!

Indulge in an array of all-natural products including but not limited to milk, eggs, flowers, plants, in-season vegetables, dairy, meats, and crafts all grown and made by local farms such as Buttermilk Lane Farm,Cedar Hill Farm, Grassy Hill Farm, Maple View Farm and Shamrock Farm.

Orange Firemen's Carnival

Orange Firemen’s Carnival

The weekly Orange Community Farmers’ Market will not take place Thursday, July 30 because the Orange Volunteer Firemen’s Carnival begins at 5 p.m. and will be using the Pavilion.

The Carnival is the Fire Department’s biggest, most important fundraiser of the year.

Discounted online ride wristband sales ended Wednesday at noon.

The Carnival hours are:

Thursday – 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Friday – 5:00 PM to 12 midnight

Saturday – 12 Noon to 12 midnight

Sunday – 12 Noon to 5:00 PM

The Farmers’ Market will be back Next week, August 6 from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

Vendors displaying certified Connecticut grown products including but not limited to milk, eggs, flowers, plants, in-season vegetables, dairy, meats, and crafts all grown and made by local farms such as Buttermilk Lane FarmCedar Hill Farm, Grassy Hill FarmMaple View Farm and Shamrock Farm.

And now the market is a one stop shop. The Zuppardi’s Pizza Truck, owned by Orange residents, is selling fresh pizza and giving everyone a break from having to cook for dinner.farmers' market
