Orange police were dispatched to Home Depot, 440 Boston Post Road, on Thursday, June 27 at 12:32 p.m., regarding a shoplifting incident.
According to the report, the investigation revealed that Ahmed A. Haider, 32, of East Haven stole $139 worth of merchandise.
He was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.
Haider was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
His court date will take place on July 11.
