As much as we may hate the idea of clearcutting trees to prevent future power outages, the strategy, although unattractive, may have worked.
After a few hours of heavy snow, hundreds or thousands of people in surrounding towns have lost electricity, but in Orange, 8 incidents have caused 66 power outages. As always, the UI does not provide specific locations of the outages on its website, so we count on Orange residents to fill in the blanks.
