Amity Referendum Coming Up On Tuesday, May 3

The Amity Board of Education will hold a District Meeting on its proposed 2022-2023 budget at Amity Regional High School on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.

The agenda for the evening will consist of the Board presentation explaining the increases and decreases to the budget. The public is invited to attend and listen to the presentation. No vote will be taken at this meeting.

Tri-Town Referendum

A budget referendum will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at the regular town polling sites between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. and voters are encouraged to participate.

The following question will be placed on the ballot labels:  SHALL THE AMITY REGIONAL SCHOOLS’ BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 IN THE GROSS AMOUNT OF $53,761,053 AND THE NET AMOUNT OF $52,760,856, BE APPROVED AS PRESENTED BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 5?

Voters approving said question shall vote “YES” and those opposing said question shall vote “NO.”
