Orange police responded to Target, 25 Boston Post Road on a shoplifting complaint at 1:59 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13.
Investigation revealed that Anthony D. King, 47, of West Haven took $481 worth of merchandise without paying for it.
Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal trespass.
King was released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 14.
One can only assume that he wasn’t done fulfilling his shoplifting list when he was arrested, so, he returned to the (same) Target store and police responded on yet another shoplifting complaint at 7:18 p.m.
This time, according to the report, King upped the ante and took $712 worth of merchandise without paying for it.
He was arrested and charged with fifth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trespass.
Once again, King was released on a promise to appear in court the following day.
