In July, 2025, we introduced our readers to cartoonist Doug Smith as he launched his Statecide website, featuring cartoons depicting events from cities and towns, from across the region, including Orange.
During the past year, hundreds clicked on the Statecide Ad here on Orange Live and enjoyed his special brand of humor.
If you were one of those fans, we have some sad news, Doug contacted us to report that he’s scrapped his statewide cartoon website and launched a new one titled Stratford Humor centered specifically on the town of Stratford.
The AD space now features the new site. If you work in Stratford, or have friends or family in that town, be sure to pass on this information.
Many of us will miss Statecide, but we wish Doug a lot of success in his new endeavor. We looked at the content and could not stop smiling. You don’t have to have a tie with Stratford to relate and appreciate the cartoons he’s created.
