Connecticut Trails Days This Saturday

Inside the Turkey Hill Preserve.

Orange  Conservation Commission is hosting an Educational Walk at Turkey Hill Preserve on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., rain cancels.

The Preserve’s 376 acres are the largest open space site in Orange and offer a most varied experience for the visitor. The old growth core forest is dotted with ledges, ridges, vernal pools, gorges, streams, ponds and shallow waterways. It is populated by a wide variety of plant and wildlife.

The hike includes a 100-ft. hill that is steep but hikeable.

Please wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water.  Total Distance (miles): 1.6 miles

Turkey Hill Preserve is located at 700 Derby-Milford Rd, Orange, CT.   

Dress appropriately, and don’t forget the tick repellent and sunscreen.
