A message from the Orange Recycling Committee regarding wine corks.
Summertime and the living is easy. And so is loving: a little glass of wine with dinner; a glass of Sangria with orange and apple bits out on the deck or patio. What could be better?
Your sangria bottles can be recycled but what do you do with the bottle corks? The cork corks? Do you just throw them away?
There are uses for them. Even the fake corks (plastic?) are useable. I put them and/or the cork ones in the bottom of my jardinières (ornamental flower pots) to lift up potted plants that are too small.
You can recycle corks at Whole Foods; there is a cardboard collection box as you enter.
