Do You Have Air Conditioning? A Heat Advisory Is In Effect

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Southern Connecticut which will be in effect from noon on Monday, June 28 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
You may expect heat index values of up to 104 degrees. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur.
Be aware that the highest index values will occur during the afternoon and early evening hours.
The heat advisory may need to be extended into Tuesday. It will be cooler along the shoreline with temps in the upper 80s and low 90s, but the humidity will make it unbearable for many. Plan ahead and be prepared. Drink plenty of water and avoid caffeine and alcohol.
