The Town of Orange has three voting districts. The three ballots are nearly identical except for the State Representative section.
This Election depends on everyone’s vote. With Dannel Malloy leaving office, we know that there are at least three men running for the Governor’s seat — A Democrat, Ned Lamont, A Republican, Bob Stafanowski and An independent, Oz Griebel running under the Griebel Frank of CT Party. But did you realize that there also are two other candidates: Rodney Hanscomb, with the Libertarian Party, and Mark Greenstein with the Amigo Constitution Liberty Party?
So, you have a choice, it’s not a matter of choosing between the “lesser of two evils” as they say, but five individuals, with Griebel, steadily growing in popularity for his strong, unwavering, non-partisan values and beliefs. He’s been endorsed by the state’s largest newspaper, the Hartford Courant, which does its homework and doesn’t back anyone willy-nilly.
If you don’t like the way things are going in Washington, then you have the power to help make a change. Our representatives in Congress and the US Senate are our voice. If you feel that everything is just fine in the nation’s capital, then, by all means, do what you want, that’s your right.
You’ve had time to learn about the policies and beliefs of the candidates who will represent you in Orange. But perhaps one of the best things you can do is toss out the campaign fliers with the negative smear tactics that some politicians use to sway you and look at their campaign pages and see what that person is about as an individual.
Next Tuesday, you have a choice. You have a voice. Get OUT and VOTE. Let Your Voice Be Heard.
Here is a list of the candidates that you’ll see on the ballot next week. Some names may take you by surprise.
