Dinner Disrupted: Zoning for Resiliency
Thursday, February 17, 7 p.m.
Join us for a Zoom presentation with Emily DiSalvo, Peter
Harrison, and Kevin Kurian of DesegregateCT who will discuss how restrictive zoning laws, from minimum lot sizes to a lack of multi-family housing, increase emissions and exacerbate global warming. The group’s research into the link between zoning and the environment will be presented. DesegregateCT will also discuss the potential of policies like transit-oriented communities and minimum lot size reform to create a greener, more equitable Connecticut.

Join the Friends of the Library and presenter Gerri Griswold for a virtual tour of Iceland. Gerri Griswold is the Director of Administration and Development at the White Memorial
Conservation Center in Litchfield and has visited Iceland 52 times. Known as the land of ice and fire, Iceland is a geographical wonderland. It features glaciers, snow-peaked mountains, volcanos, geothermal hot springs, ice caves, gushing waterfulls, black sand beaches, and vertical sea cliffs. Come see Gerri’s spectacular travelogue and transport yourself to an island paradise. Presented by the Friends of the Case Memorial Library.
