Thursday, February 13, 5 p.m.
Artwork by Geno Piacentini will be on display in the Meeting Room during the month of February. Join us for a reception in his honor!
From the artist’s biography: I grew up and attended school in Norwalk. I always had an interest in art and art classes. I attended a school for art in Westport and then pursued a career in mechanical design, using my creativity for original product development design.
I am currently a member of the Black Rock Artist Group. My work has been displayed at the Open Door Tearoom in Stratford, and at the Easton Public Library, where I am a member of the Easton Arts Council. I have recently been displayed in the Bridgeport Art Trail, Burroughs Community Center, and Milford Public Library.
Wednesday Book Group
Wednesday, February 19, 1 p.m.
Co-authors Pride and Piazza tell a story about a friendship that is tested by a tragic shooting and the racial tensions that follow. Kirkus Reviews noted “With its timely premise, clear-cut messages, and appealing female characters, this novel is bound for book-club glory.” Let’s put that review to the test, shall we?
