Today at 4 p.m. the Amity Spartans boys Ice Hockey team will face perhaps their toughest (and most evenly matched) opponents to date – the Daniel Hand Tigers at the Northford Ice Pavillion.
While other press dwells on the idea that Amity lost three consecutive games Orange Live sticks with other, more important facts:
1) The 2018-19 Spartans are an extremely talented team.
2) Since day-one of practice, they have acted like family.
3) They won their first 7 games of the season, against teams that some said would crush them.
4) They are blessed to have a phenomenal head coach that is well respected by other coaches for his methods and experience.
5) They have a great coaching team.
6) The Spartans have the speed and skill to play well against any opponent and their fans – including the Amity Army – and I believe in each and every one of them 100%.
NOTE: Hey boys, you CAN clip the Tigers’ claws and own this game. Stay out of the penalty box and out on the ice where you’re needed. My slogan for you this year is “Just Believe.” Coach Scooter Richetelli said it early on, and if you believe you can, then you can.
