Keep up the good work, Amity!

In the past, as Orange Live readers may recall, I covered the boys and girls hockey teams extensively every winter for nearly 10 years. Sadly, about 2-3 years ago, I lost the strength in my arms and movement in my fingers and was  unable to use my camera equipment anymore. These conditions have not improved, and I hardly ever take photos at events, except one or two with a older cell phone on occasion.

After more than 60 years of shooting photos with good equipment, it’s disheartening to only have an obsolete cell phone to rely on. The impressive action shots that accompanied my sports stories are a thing of the past and I can’t bring myself to even attend a game of any kind, because my photography always told half the story.

If any parents would like to forward photos to me (orangectlive01@gmail.com) or by text (203-506-1747)within 24 hours of an event, I will gladly use them and credit the photographer.

Former Coach “Scooter” Richetelli always sent me a screenshot of the game sheet after every game and I was able to write a story using that information. I’m going to reach out to the new coach to see if he will do the same. The girls’ coach has already sent me their game results.
