
Welcome Back to the new old normal. The annual Memorial Day Ceremonies and Parade will take place on Sunday, May 30.
This solemn holiday is set aside to honor the men and women who died while serving in the US military – Every war, every decade.
As in the past, the first ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Gazebo.
This year, the Memorial Day Committee has chosen three honorees. The Grand Marshal is Norman J. Marieb, a Navy LT from 1961-1963. Chief of Staff is Kevin J. Hadlock, a Navy LT from 1971-1974, The Honored Veteran is Louis Abram Eagle an Army SP4.
Diane Raikis will sing The National Anthem
As always, Bob Mirto will be the Master of Ceremonies
The keynote speaker is Atty Christopher Carveth.
Kellie Martino is the Parade Committee Chairman.

Due to the Pandemic there won’t be any school bands participating this year because they didn’t have any time to practice.
However, four marching bands will participate
• New Haven County Firefighters Emerald Society Pipes and Drums
• New Haven Gaelic Highland Pipe Band
• Pyramid Shriners Pipes and Drums
• Milford Volunteer Fife and Drum
Fred O’Brien will be the parade announcer.
The committee is uncertain if there will be a reviewing stand this year because of how crowded it gets with the town dignitaries and OGAT Video Operator and equipment. COVID restrictions will be set by the state.
Commander Lewis Merritt of American Legion Post 127 will lead the brief ceremony at the Orange Center Cemetery.
