Teen Take & Make: Homemade Oreo Cookies
Monday, November 15
For teens in grades 7-12. Create your own homemade Oreo cookies
with this tasty take-home kit. Most ingredients and some supplies will be provided. Participants must supply 2 1/2 sticks of butter, measuring cups and spoons, mixing bowls, an electric mixer, and a rolling pin. Registration will end Friday, November 12. Kits will be available for pickup in the Library from Monday, November 15 through Saturday, November 20.

Virtual Author Talk: The Legendary Toad’s Place
Monday, November 15, 7 p.m.
Toad’s Place in New Haven has been the area’s premier music venue since 1975, attracting big names as well as up-and-comers. Join us for a Zoom talk with Randall Beach and Toad’s owner Brian Phelps, authors of The Legendary Toad’s Place! You must register to attend.  You will receive a Zoom link by email. The Bookcase Evening Book Discussion

Take & Make Kit: Himmeli Ornaments
Monday, November 29
For adults and teens in grades 7-12. Learn to make himmeli, a traditional Finnish straw ornament, with this take-home kit. All supplies will be provided.Registration will end Wednesday, November 24. Kits will be available for pickup in the Library from Monday, November 29 through Saturday, December 4.

Tween Take and Make: Slingshot Cars
Monday, November 29For tweens in grades 4-6. Build a car powered by a rubber band and a pencil! We’ll provide wheels, straw, craft sticks, wood, pencil, and rubber bands- you provide the glue and tape. Kits will be picked up in the Children’s Room between November 29 and December 4.

Book Christmas Trees Take & Make 
Monday, December 6
For adults and teens in grades 7-12. Instructions and most supplies will be provided. Registration will end Thursday, December 2. Kits will be available for pickup on December 5 while the library is open for the tree lighting, and at the Adult Reference Desk from Monday, December 6 through Saturday, December 11.
