A family on Old Tavern Road received an uninvited guest on Mother’s Day.
A huge black bear meandered into the backyard, then made his way onto the deck where he reached over the railing for a hanging bird feeder.
After his snack, he left without further incident, and the residents removed the bird feeders so not to tempt other seed thieves.
