Obituary: Josephine Patricia “Pat” Mecca, 87, Beloved Mother, Sister

Josephine Patricia Mecca, 87, known to those close to her as “Pat,” entered into Eternal Rest on May 24, 2023, at her home in Orange.

Pat was born on January 21, 1936, in Stamford, CT to the late Joseph Marzullo and Angela (Wisniewski) Marzullo. Pat was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Mecca.

Pat worked for many years as the Manager of Research and Development for Dictaphone Corp. In her retirement, she was an avid gardener and also enjoyed entertaining, baking, crocheting, and playing with her pets. Most of all she cherished spending time with her husband, Sal, of 65 years, and exploring new places and things to see and do.

Pat is survived by her beloved daughter Annie Mecca, her brother Joseph H. Marzullo (wife Madeline), and brother Thomas J. Marzullo, as well as her beloved cat Luciano, many nieces, nephews, and additional family. Pat is predeceased by her brother Richard Marzullo.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Cody White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, with a rosary and short prayer service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment is to follow at St. Mary Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich, CT.
