Obituary: Kenneth “Kenny” Weaver, 72, Beloved Husband, Brother, Dog Dad

Kenneth J. “Kenny” Weaver, 72, of Orange beloved husband of 46 years to Paula Rappa Weaver passed away on February 1, 2024 surrounded by his family at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Besides his wife, Kenny leaves behind his dog, Paisley Mae. Brother of Shirley Weaver of Woodbridge, Marilyn Eggers of Fairfield, Robert (Eileen) Weaver of Stratford, Albert (June) Weaver of Fairfield and the late Ruth Akins and Barbara Harrington. Brother-in-law to Richard (Cindy) Rappa of Penfield, NY and George (Josephine) Rappa of Ansonia.

Kenny is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was born in Milford on September 29, 1951 son of the late Albert and Bessie Gergely Weaver. Prior to his retirement, Kenny was a materials engineer for Dresser Industries. Ken enjoyed woodworking and remodeling his home. He was a Civil War Reenactor, honoring his ancestors that fought in the war. He was in the movies “Gettysburg” and “Gods and Generals.”

He also had a passion for early baseball from the 19th century and was a vintage baseball player for many years. He started a business with Paula over 20 years custom making both Civil War uniforms and vintage baseball uniforms shipping them both nationally and internationally. When it was time to relax, he could be found hanging out with his beloved dog, Paisley Mae.

Family and friends are invited to a Parlor Service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven TUESDAY morning at 9:00. Interment will follow in Orange Center Cemetery.
