The Orange Conservation Commission (“OCC”) consists of seven volunteer Orange residents who serve the town for a term of four-year terms. Commissioners are appointed by the First Selectmen, subject to disapproval by the Board of Selectmen.
Members devote their efforts to the sound development, conservation, supervision and regulation of the town’s passive open spaces. OCC meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, at 7 p.m. at High Plains Community Center.
Our commissioners represent a wide range of strengths and skills that enhance OCC’s mission.
There is currently a vacancy on the OCC. We are looking for candidates who have an interest in serving the community of Orange and/or experience in:
