Orange Highway Has Got Your Back

On Tuesday afternoon the Orange Highway Department crews hit the road and pre-treated them with salt.
Then, as the snow began to fall heavily then slowed down, the men went home to get some rest in anticipation of an early morning wake-up alarm so they could return to the garage around 3 or 4 a.m. to plow and clear the streets before the morning work rush and for school bus safety.
Crew Chief Donny Foyer said there are 8 large trucks, 4 medium trucks and 2 pickup trucks in the fleet, ready to do the job.
He is carefully monitoring the larger weekend storm scheduled to hit on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
We’re not sure exactly what to expect yet, but rest assured, the Orange Highway Crews have got your back.
