Officers were dispatched to Orange Center Road for a single-car accident on Sunday, June 21, at 4:24 a.m.
Upon arrival, Orange police spoke with Kaniya I. Cannon, 22, of New Haven, and reportedly observed a strong odor of alcohol emanating from her breath.
According to the report, officers asked her to perform Standardized Sobriety Field Tests. Subsequently, she was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Cannon posted a $500 bond and received a court date of July 2.
