On Sunday, Jan. 7, Orange police observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Lambert Road near the Boston Post Road at 3:56 p.m.
Officers made a motor vehicle stop and came into contact with the driver, Michael W. Freeman, 49, of West Haven, who, according to the report, was slurring his speech.
Officers administered Standardized Sobriety Field Tests which led to Freeman being taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.
Freeman posted a $50 bond and received a court date of Jan. 19.
