It was a rather warm morning for the annual New Year’s Day Chilly Chili Run. At 43 degrees, no one could complain of freezing hands or icy feet as in some past years.
This year 378 runners participated in the event.
Colin Czuchra, 19, was the overall winner. He ran at a 5:35 pace and crossed the finish line at 17:21.
He was followed by Jeffrey Townsend, 52, from Woodbridge @ 18:25 and Bethany resident Will Cushing, 45, @ 18:34.
The first female finisher was Nicole Feng, 25, of Bethany, who clocked in at 19:02, a pace of 6:07.
