On Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 1:45 p.m. officers responded to the Wine Merchants Store at 309 Racebrook Road on a shoplifting complaint.
Investigation revealed that Anthony C. Facin Jr., 47, of New Haven and another person took $279 worth of alcoholic beverages without paying for them.
Facin was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.
He was released after posting a $500 bond for court on Aug. 30.
