At 4:19 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, Orange police were dispatched to Smith Farm Road on a report of an assault.
During the investigation, officers came into contact with Jake E. Johnson, 31, of Orange, who, reportedly was involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical.
According to the report, Johnson pulled the other individual to the ground and kicked that person in the face. Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.
Johnson was held on a $20,000 bond and received a court date of June 5.
