On Wednesday, Nov. 15, Orange police responded to Kohl’s, 250 Bull Hill Lane, for a shoplifting in progress at 11:44 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers came into contact with Moises Vargas, 57, of East Haven. During the investigation, it was discovered that Vargas stole $230 worth of merchandise.
Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.
Vargas received a promise to appear in court on Nov. 28.
