Secure Loose Objects: Wind Advisory In Effect For This Afternoon And Evening

You know the saying, “April showers bring May flowers.” Well, here’s another one, “Batten down the hatches.” Today’s forecast promises plenty of wet and wild weather.
A wind advisory remains in effect from 2 p.m. to midnight with westerly winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 50 mph.
As a cold front comes through this afternoon, with a line of thunderstorms, between 1 and 4 p.m., strong winds may blow down trees, limbs and power lines. Some scattered power outages are expected.
