Snow "Smo" – Orange Highway Dept. Is Ready To Roll

While the nation braces for continued frigid weather and the East Coast hunkers down for a potentially nasty blizzard, the Orange Highway Department sees it as just another workday.
Highway Foreman Donny Foyer is taking it all in stride, offering a nonchalant, “Snow, what snow?”
He said the Orange area could see between 6 to 8-inches of the white stuff starting overnight tonight and continuing through Thursday, with the heaviest snowfall during the day. Schools most likely will be canceled throughout the region.
Foyer said, “It’s nothing we haven’t handled before. The boys have all the plows on, and we’re ready to go.”
The Highway Department has had a few practice runs with minimal snow events so far, but this is the first real storm this season, and the town workers have managed with worse in the past.
Foyer added that they will be watching the winds, as they could bring snow drifts which may cause some challenges.
In short, Orange, there’s no need to fear, the Orange Highway Department is here.
