Two Small Businesses Give Alternative To Shopping At Crowded Stores

As of yesterday, serious restrictions were put on local businesses, especially restaurants and bars, which may be shut down for more than a month due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s important to think about small businesses that have to figure out how to survive during these trying times.

On Monday, March 16, we told readers about the offer of curbside food pickup at the Orange Ale House, 517 Boston Post Road.

Two more small Orange businesses are sharing their plans during this coronavirus crisis in CT.

Kaoud Rugs, 463 Boston Post Road, is open with regular hours for the time being.

We also are offering rug cleaning specials with pick up and delivery available, or people can drive up to the door. If you call and mention this post we are offering 20% off and delivery specials of free pick up of 8×10 or larger rugs (local only) this week. Repairs also are available.

Since people are spending more time at home they may see what they may need help with and we are happy to offer personal service.  We want to keep our employees working during this time and not close the store. Our number is 203-795-5264. Instagram kaoudrugsct
At Material Girls, 463 Boston Post Road, this a busy time of year with new merchandise arriving daily, so there’s a lot of work to do as well as a big Clearance Sale. Anyone who shops can mention this post to receive 10% off most regular priced items through the weekend.

Big savings on clearance items We will be doing more online Facebook sales, and shipping. Facebook and instagram are great ways to preview what is available, but doesn’t replace the personal services available.
