The Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road, Orange, offers the following upcoming events in October.
Monet Bridge Fingerpainting
Kit pickup: Wednesday, October 7-Saturday, October 10 For children ages 3-5. Create a vibrant work of art inspired by Monet’s “The Water Lily Pond.” Please be advised that children’s hands will come into contact with fingerpaint. Smocks will not be provided.
Mini Book Sale and Concert
Sunday, October 11
Book sale: 10 a.m.-12 noon. Concert: 1 p.m.
The Friends of the Case Memorial Library will host a mini book sale followed by a musical program featuring “The Elderly Brothers,” in the parking lot at the side of the Library. Attendees are asked to wear masks and observe social distancing. Concert attendees are asked to bring chairs.
Glow-in-the-Dark Jack-o’-lanterns
Kit pickup: Wednesday, October 14-Saturday, October 17
For children in grades 1-3. Craft a luminous jack-o’-lantern the easy way! You supply the pumpkin (ideally 3-4 lbs.) and we’ll take care of the rest. This activity is best enjoyed outdoors.
Tween Take & Make: Cinnamon Slime
Kit pickup: Thursday, October 15-Saturday, October 17
For tweens in grades 4-6. Make some autumn-themed cinnamon slime with our take and make kit! Please register to reserve your kit for pick up. Please be advised that the recipe involves contact with cinnamon essential oil, contact lens solution, glue, baking soda, and glitter.
